In 2005, Billybob said something about a penguin titled Zippo the Penguin. It is unknown if Zippo was going to give out a free item, such as how Rockhopper started off giving out an eye patch. Some had said Zippo was supposed to be yellow but this was never confirmed. When asked who Zippo the Penguin was, Billybob responded:

Hi there,
Zippo the Penguin was one of our oldest penguins on Club Penguin. Zippo was the author of the waddle on comic strip. It is possible that we will be hearing from this penguin again, however, we have not heard from Zippo for quite some time. Keep you eyes peeled and let us know if you hear anything.

When did you hear about Zippo the penguin? I do not think anyone has seen him for a long time. I hear that he was the original creator of the 'Waddle on' comics.
Since Zippo is a penguin just like the rest of us, we do not know when he might appear next. It doesn't hurt to keep an eye out though!
By the way, sled racing with your penguin buddies is always a fun game to play together, so why not try something new and challenging? Instead of finishing first, why not hit every obstacle in your way, and see who is the slowest champion of all!

- Zippo the Penguin was never seen on Club Penguin.
- It is unknown why Zippo was not added into Club Penguin.
- Seeing as Club Penguin opened one month before Zippo was mentioned, the Club Penguin Team may have been too busy and scrapped the idea.
- When Zippo lost his fish, his ad for the location was in the first Penguin Style catalog.
- One penguin was spotted on August 15, 2009 on server Cold Front as Zippo Peng, when asked if he was the penguin who was referred on August 2005 he said "Who you are talking about?".
- Fluffy the Fish seemed to have belonged to Zippo in the past.
- His address is 2993 West Iceberg Lane, which he included on his "Lost Fish" ad.
- Nobody knows what happened to Zippo.
- Some penguins had said his penguin color was yellow, but this was unconfirmed.
- As mentioned in the email above, Zippo was the author of the "Waddle On" comic strips from the Club Penguin website community section.
- In the second e-mail, it mentioned crashing into every obstacle in Sled Racing, maybe if you do you'll meet Zippo! (But they could of just said it so you can have fun or try and get you to not think about Zippo)
- It also may mean Zippo is one of the old blue penguins clapping at the end of Sled Racing.
