The Wilderness Expedition 2011 was an expedition in Club Penguin that began on January 17, and ended on January 31, 2011. It was confirmed in issue #273 of the Club Penguin Times, and the dates were also mentioned in a login screen for the party. There was a member item, a Life Jacket, for sale at the Shore, that cost 50 coins. During the party, players were able to navigate a maze, use a machine to lower themselves down a cliff, construct a boat, and sail across a bay to the Brown Puffle Cave. Brown Puffles were first introduced here and could be adopted by members for free.

Trivia[]

  • If the boat in the bottom right corner of the Brown Puffle Cave was accessed, it would take players to the Cove. After this was done, the boat would stay at the Cove for the remainder of the expedition, and any players that previously accessed the cave could use the boat at the Cove to return there instantly, rather than traveling through several other rooms again.
  • It was the third expedition in Club Penguin, the first being the Cave Expedition, second being the Mountain Expedition, the fourth being the Underwater Expedition and the fifth being the Wilderness Expedition 2016.
  • There was a glitch at the Cliff where players were able to turn invisible. After completing the puzzle and opening Penguin Mail while walking into the barrel elevator, and then closing the mail after a few seconds, and leaving the barrel, players would turn invisible until they left the room.
  • The notes found at the wilderness are from PH.[1]
