Color Turtle I

Dear Yowuza:

In all the time I ever contributed to this wiki, no one ever pointed out the turtle. I knew it was there, but never really thought much about it. Well, since the secret's out, I'll tell you: That little turtle has a big meaning to me. First of all, the turtle is on there because he is my cursor. When I take screenshots, he often gets captured in odd places along with the actual picture. However, it means so much more than that. The cursor has a name: I call him Color Turtle I (As in Color Turtle the First). He was the first beanie baby I ever received. Color Turtle I, alongside Super Mario Brothers Three, are the two most influential reasons upon why turtles are my passion. As for the whole mushroom thing, SMB3 gave that gift to me. Over the years, I also found three duplicates of Color Turtle, named Color Turtle II, Cindy, and Colorton respectively.

^ That's Color Turtle when he's typed with keyboard punctuation and wiki code!
I just made that a few seconds ago (as of original posting date).

Good eye, Yowuza, Good eye.

[edit] Color Turtle Trivia

  • Color Turtle's real name is Pokey. It was the name on his tag.
  • Color Turtles are not from the TyTM beanie baby company.
  • I once lost Color Turtle I in my grandparent's basement. He was missing for over one year, right through Thanksgiving and Christmas, and in the end, I found him under an art desk set up down there, in plain sight.
  • Sometimes, I have dreams about Color Turtle! In those dreams, the normal scenario has me discovering more Color Turtles than I have now. In the most recent edition, my subconscious found three new ones on the top shelf of a tiny closet.
  • Color Turtle I was a gift that my mother bought for me at K-MartTM for five U.S.A. dollars ($5). He was a Christmas gift for me at around age four (4).
  • Color Turtle II was received on my seventh birthday.
  • Cindy was a backup plan in case I lost Color Turtle I or II.
  • Colorton's story was humorous. I discovered him after my grandmother's closet was cleaned at age fourteen (14). I learned he was a backup of a backup in case I lost one of my other Color Turtles. He was in that closet for ten years. Since then, my family has joked that Colorton "came out of the closet", literally!
  • At a very, very young age, I weighed Color Turtle I on that baby-measuring scale in the pediatrician's office, and learned that he weighed exactly eight ounces (or 225 grams in Metric).
