This article is about something that is no longer active in the Club Penguin universe.
|Invented by||Gary the Gadget Guy|
The Time Portal was a large gateway invented by Gary the Gadget Guy, which when entered could take you from one point in time to another point in time in a matter of seconds. It was connected to the Time Trekker 3000 (which was used previously during the 2013 and 2014 Prehistoric Parties to travel to the past), which in turn was powered by the energy from the meteor that struck the island prior to the Marvel Super Hero Takeover 2012.
It was placed in the Snow Forts on May 15, 2014 for the means of quick transportation to the year 4014 - so EPF Agents could defend Club Penguin Island in 4014 in the Extra-Planetary Federation's absence.
Although it is unknown why penguins needed to use it instead of the Time Trekker 3000 itself, it is known that the Time Trekker 3000 took "several days to change from Time Trekker from forward to reverse" and that the Time Portal apparently got to places in "half the time".
- Gary used a portal to travel before in #WaddleOn... with Gary, using the Fashion Show Box furniture item.
- Similar to how the Time Trekker was based on the DeLorean time machine from the Back to the Future film trilogy, the Time Portal was based on the many portals used to travel through time in science-fiction stories.
- In issue #450 of the Club Penguin Times, Rookie said he was in charge of its clean up and hoped that the Portal would fit into the Box Dimension.
