The Penguin Games was a special event in Club Penguin. The news was released in The Club Penguin Times. It was modeled after the 2008 Olympic Games. The party lasted from August 22 to about 12:00 PM PST August 27, 2008. It is similar to the Sports Day Party 2006. The Soccer Pitch was said to be a temporary Members only replacement for the Ice Rink, however it remained for both Members and non-members until the Ice Rink was brought back during the Christmas Party 2008.

- This is the only time the Ice Rink and Stadium were there at the same time.
- The Dock sold ground coffee for two coins a cup at a Coffee stand. This was a joke, referring to the comic with Ground Coffee.
- The party was to represent the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
- It was rumored that the Penguin Games would return in 2012 since the Olympics were held in 2012 for the 2012 London Olympic Games, but it did not return.
- The music from the Sports Day 2006 party was used in the Town, Ski Village, Plaza, Forest, as well at the Cove, Dock, Snow Forts and the Ski Hill.
