Paint by Letters (also known as PBL) is a game/book series found in the Book Room's Library. The game is about typing. In the three currently stories, you have to type the whole story on your keyboard. Sometimes, you have to make a decision, which can change all the story course. You get bonus coins if you find all the hidden coins in the books. The series was introduced on March 10, 2008. There are three books in the series:
The base amount of coins you get in My Puffle is 50 (max 250). The base amount of coins you get in Burnt Out Bulbs is 220 coins (max 800). The Lime Green Dojo Clean score is 160 (Max 800).

- There was a rumor going around that there would be more Paint By Letter books coming out later. This rumor was confirmed with the release of the Lime Green Dojo Clean Book.
- You don't need to press space, dots, or punctuations between words.
- Oddly, the Paint by Letters books are the only thing in Club Penguin that's exclusive to English. Those books are missing from the other languages (Portuguese, French, and Spanish) libraries.
- The publishing company for Paint By Letters is the Snowball Press.
- This books are to make your own path on the book, it has different options to make.
- Almost every page has a secret coin hidden in the picture. The only page that doesn't is the last one. You find it by moving around the picture or some other action.
- By collecting the secret coin on every page, you get extra coins when you complete the book. For example, if you play Lime Green Dojo Clean if you finish the book and collect all the secret coins, you receive 800 coins in total.
