Membership cards

Membership cards, also known as Game Cards, were real life gift cards that could be purchased for membership in Club Penguin. This was one of the simplest ways to become a member, although they were an uncommon method of attaining membership. Credit cards and PayPal were used more often.

How it worked[]

By late December 2007, the cards were sold in Target/SuperTarget stores, Toys 'R Us stores, Walmart superstores, CVS Pharmacies, Best Buy stores and Rite Aid Pharmacies nationwide (United States), and in Sainsbury's (United Kingdom) in the following months.[1] To be a member using these cards, you had to pay the same membership fee. It was possible to get Membership cards free from sites.

Starting in 2012, membership cards were available in supermarkets in Brazil and in the European Union, alongside the items they gave.

There were four different cards: one month membership card, three month membership card, six month membership card, and one year membership card, which was only available on Amazon. Once you had a card, you needed to enter the given code, like the standard way of paying for membership. Upon entering the code online, you would become a member. The code could only be used once and refunds were not allowed after you had used the code.

Unlockable items[]

Some membership cards came with codes of unlockable items. Here is a list of them:
