Marble Hunt is a two-player scavenger hunt party game in Club Penguin Island. It was released in the 1.4 update. It can be played by using the party supply of the same name, for a price of 30 coins. It is activated by a player using the party supply, which causes them to hold up a box. If another player interacts with the box, the game is initiated.

The game cannot be played in Offline Mode, due to it lacking multi-player functionality.

Gameplay[]

After the game is initiated, the two players are randomly assigned a role. One player becomes the hider, and has to hide large green marbles with red propeller caps anywhere in whatever zone the players are currently in. The hider has a time limit of 25 seconds to hide all three in the zone, which can be done by pressing the action button to place the marble. While the hider is hiding, the finder is locked in place and cannot move.

The other player is the finder, and after either the hider's 25 seconds are up or are all three marbles are hid, they must search for the three hidden marbles, with a time limit of 55 seconds. To assist with finding, the finder holds a remote-like device with a large antenna. The antenna blinks if the finder is near a marble, and blinks faster the closer they are. In order to collect a marble, the action button must be pressed while next to it.

After either all three marbles are found by the finder, or the time limit of 55 seconds is up, the game ends. If the finder found all three marbles within the time limit, they win. If they did not, the hider wins. The winner receives 20 coins and 15 Rookie XP, and the loser receives 20 coins and 10 Rookie XP.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to the 1.5.0 update, this game cost 75 coins instead of 40, and the loser of the game only received coins and no XP. Additionally, since this update, players have to be at least level 1 to buy it, while before, there was no level requirement. In 1.7.1, the price was dropped again to 30 coins.
  • In the 1.6.1 update, Marble Hunt was removed from shops temporarily due to the game not working properly.[1] In 1.7.1, this was fixed and Marble Hunt was brought back to shops.
  • Prior to November 1, 2017, the rewards were 30 coins and 5 XP (winner) and 20 coins and 3 XP (loser).
