The Puffle Whistle (named EPF Puffle in its item form in online Club Penguin) is a gadget used in Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force and its sequel, Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge. In both games, it is used to call Elite Puffles to assist the player. It also appears in online Club Penguin as an unlockable item, and could have been unlocked from a code card included in the box of Herbert's Revenge (or whenever coins were transferred from the game to online Club Penguin), or in the Elite Penguin Force Card Game.

In the two Elite Penguin Force DS games, the whistle is accessed by pressing a button in the bottom-right corner of the screen, which opens a small menu with puffle icons. The player then selects which puffle they want to summon, then blow into the DS microphone. In the first game, the Puffle Handler gives the player the whistle, and more elite puffles are unlocked through story progression. In Herbert's Revenge, the whistle is available by default, and which elite puffles are available varies depending on the mission. Klutzy can also be summoned with the whistle during the final mission. In both games, puffles that cannot currently be summoned have their icon darkened, and the currently puffle can be dismissed by pressing their icon in the menu again.

In online Club Penguin, the whistle is a hand item. Selecting it in the inventory causes the player to walk Flare the elite puffle. Flare can also be summoned through the EPF Phone, although the whistle must still be owned.

Trivia[]

  • While walking Flare in online Club Penguin, if the player danced, he would create a ring of fire and continually jump through it. If the player waved, he would light himself on fire. If the player sat, he would spit fire towards the right.
  • In November 2013, puffles being walked were updated to no longer be hand items, and instead were independent of the player's worn clothing. However, Flare was not updated, and remained as a hand item, allowing for him to be "walked" at the same time as one of the player's own puffles.
  • In online Club Penguin, it was a member-only item until August 2012.
