Old News was a feature which allowed penguins to read the last six editions of the Club Penguin Times. It could be used to learn about Club Penguin, its recent history, and recent events. It could be accessed from the green cabinets in the Boiler Room.
Some features, such as making donations to the Lighthouse in order to obtain the Lighthouse Shirt, were not available through old newspapers.
Trivia[]
- It was released on May 26, 2006 during the Underground Opening Party.
- It was first mentioned by Billybob in a blog post on the What's New Blog on April 6, 2006.[1]
- Though only the six most recent editions of the Club Penguin Times could be viewed, the filing cabinet contained the entire Club Penguin Times Archives in its other, locked, drawers. It was revealed in Field-Op #49 that the Elite Penguin Force was in charge of the security of these archives.
- At the Easter Egg Hunt 2007, an easter egg was hidden in the top right drawer which appeared otherwise empty.
- The cabinet also contained Gariwald's study notes, as revealed in Field-Op #102.
Glitches[]
- If the user clicked on a newspaper and dragged the mouse away from it, the newspaper would stay hovering in the air.
