The Basic Igloo was an igloo in Club Penguin. All players automatically had it when creating an account. It also cost 1500 coins in the Igloo Upgrades catalog, and only members could buy it.

Trivia[]
- Similar igloos were the Candy Igloo, Snow Igloo, and Secret Stone Igloo.
- It was the first igloo in Club Penguin, even before furniture was available.
- It appeared as part of the Trick-or-Treat Igloo.
- Originally, igloos were not saved if replaced, and the replaced igloo would have had to be bought again if a player wanted it back. However, the Basic Igloo in particular was always available in the Better Igloos catalog so it could be bought at any time. In August 2011, an update was made so any obtained igloo would be permanently stored in the igloo inventory, eliminating the purpose of the Basic Igloo being in the catalog, since all players have it by default. It remained in the catalog until the February 2012 edition of Better Igloos.
