Gary 3000 (in-game username is just "Gary") is an inventor from the future, and part of the Extra-Planetary Federation. In issue 446 of the Club Penguin Times, Gary the Gadget Guy describes him as "me in the future but different", and that he "builds amazing gadgets that are used all over the galaxy". He appears nearly identical to Gary, but wears a Space Helmet.
During the Future Party in the year 4014, he enlists the help of present-day Gary to bring penguins with him to the future, in order to save the island from the Ultimate Proto-Bot 10000, who is attacking the island to acquire "secret space travel technology" to rule the galaxy.
In addition to appearing as a meetable mascot during the Future Party, he also wrote most of the articles in issues 448 and 449 of the Club Penguin Times (presented as issues "100448" and "100449" from the year 4014).
Inventions[]
He invented unspecified "amazing gadgets used all over the galaxy". The only explicitly mentioned inventions of him are the Robos, which he created for the Extra-Planetary Federation, which are walking robot suits that allow penguins to "fly into orbit" to "defend against threats from outer space and other dimensions". He also made Space Cadet Jetpacks for similar usage.

- In his mascot scripts, he describes himself as "not the same as your (present-day) Gary". He also says it is fine to "call [him] 'Gary'".
- According to Gary 3000's mascot scripts:
