Emoticons

Emoticons are little faces and symbols that can symbolize how Penguins feel; they usually appear in speech bubbles accessed by clicking on the "Emote Menu" or by pressing "E", followed by various keys.

The skull emote was deleted once. It was deleted along with the heart emote, however, due to the popularity of it, the heart emote came back some time later. It has been confirmed that the skull will never be coming back. According to Club Penguin: "There are plenty of other ways to show you don't like something besides using the skull." Each button pressed after the "E" button stand for something. This is because the "E" standed for emote, and the intial letter of the object (e.g Skull) would be "S". The skull code was ES.

• The green music note emoticon, which causes your penguin to flatulate when used, is accessed simply by pressing the E key on the keyboard, followed by the T key. Make sure you do not type into the chatbox, and do not type T first and then E because the snowball target will appear where your mouse is.

• The chocolate ice cream emoticon can only be accessed by pressing the E key, followed by the W key.

• Also, the strawberry ice cream emoticon can be accessed both by pressing its icon on the Emote Menu on the Toolbar or by pressing the E key, then the Q key. Again, make sure you do not type into the chatbox.

• To make a sun emoticon, press the E key then the D key.

• To make a Moon and Stars emoticon, press the E key then the N key.

• To make an Igloo emoticon, press the E key then the I key.

• The skull emote is not available on Club Penguin anymore.

• To make a puffle emoticon, click E on your keyboard, and then P.
• To make a popcorn emote, press the E key and then press O.

• The Heart emote was once removed from Club Penguin because it was used wrong, but now it is back.
• The Heart emote came back because the Club Penguin Team got a whole bunch of support e-mails about saying stuff like "How much Penguins love puffles" etc.
• The Skull emote was removed possibly because it was offensive to some people and death is not possible in Club Penguin, though they didn't remove the Sticking out Toungue one, which is slightly offensive.
• New emoticons came out because a website said they looked similar.
• In Penguin Chat 2 and Penguin Chat 3 the Skull emote was an emote.
• There is an emote background.
• The Skull was often used during Halloween parties before it was removed.
• The Heart emote was taken out for almost a month.
• Emoticon is a combination of the word Emotion and icon.
• When a famous penguin is on the island, penguins would often say things like 'Smile for Rockhopper', referring to the emote.
• The music note emote can make noise.
