The Backstage was a members-only room during the Penguin Play Awards. It had a free item. It was a Penguin Play Award trophy.
The Tour Guide briefing on the place went as follows:
Here we have the Backstage... ...there is something for everyone. Grab some water or Cream Soda... ...freshen up your makeup or take a break. Those chairs are for interviews. Feel free to hold your own!
Not many changes happened between the Backstage and the Back Stage, just the chocolate fountain was moved, the dressing area was on the left, there was a photo shoot area and some of the walls had aquariums. The Penguin Band, Aunt Arctic, Cadence, and Gary appeared here sometimes too.

- The Backstage was Members-only.
- Many attempts by non-members to break in had been attempted. Only people using WPE PRO got in, but that is ILLEGAL.
- Some penguins here pretended to be hair stylists by standing behind the stool and asking people to come up. Using words, they would shampoo, rinse, condition, and dry your hair. Some would even put jewelry on the penguin if it was a girl.
- When you clicked on find your buddy, when he/she is in the Backstage, it would say "<name> is Backstage".
- It was removed after the Penguin Play Awards ended.
