The Amethyst was a rare pin in Club Penguin. All players could obtain it by digging up four pieces of it from the dirt pit in the Cave Mine during the Cave Expedition, using either a Hard Hat or a Snow Shovel.

Obtaining this pin was required to access the Hidden Lake during the expedition. Once the Hidden Lake reopened a few months later, this pin was no longer required to access it.

Trivia[]

It was Club Penguin's 112^th pin.
It resembled some of the Ruby Pins from Ruby and the Ruby.
Once the Cave Mine reopened a few months after the Cave Expedition ended, digging at the Cave Mine instead resulted in the player receiving a small amount of coins each time the player dug. After the Cave Mine closed, this function was moved to the Gold Mine.
